Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.
ON THE WEB
If you missed it last week, the site re-design that we've been mentioning for months is FINALLY LIVE.
We've been spending the week testing and fielding responses and testing and fixing glitches. We're so thankful for your eagle eyes in helping us identify issues. We welcome any feedback, and appreciate the time that you take to write it.
We hope to squash all of the last bugs this week, and then publish our blog re-design shortly thereafter. Stay tuned!
Do you have a recommendation? Constructive criticism? Or have you noticed a glitch? Let us know. And stay tuned for more updates. We're always scheming.
NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
We are tremendously appreciative. You run a great site and a great service!
- Johnny, Job Poster
I found my first job in NYC through your site, and I'll be forever thankful for that foot in the door.
- Katie, GFJ Success Story
We are so pleased to be of service.

While it's totally feasible for this week's newsletter title to represent an ode to a time-honored rich, gooey treat...this time we mean it more in the bleeping-out-an-inappropriate-expletive way.
Last week, in the name of progress, we boldly launched our long-awaited site redesign. But as you can probably tell by now, such a big step comes with some inevitable bumps in the road.
So we've been hard at work identifying issues resulting from the changes, and trying to fix them as soon as possible. Still on our hope-to-be-fixed-any-second list are:
- Issues with the state location search and the refine zip code radius function.
- The ability to upload a PDF when posting a job.
- The ability to press the 'back to search results' button and get back to the place in the search results that you last looked.
- The ability to delete jobs from your 'Jobs I Follow' list.
We really appreciate your patience as we continue to right the wrongs. And hopefully soon this will just be a distant memory, like that awkward phase in middle school that you hope nobody will really remember once enough time passes. Of course, we went to middle school before facebook existed, so perhaps that's just wishful thinking...
In the meantime, if you see something, SAY SOMETHING. And enjoy some of our newest, highly functioning features:
FEAST YOUR EYES
There's more photography and video content than ever on our new home page, including a visual version of our blog interview (featuring the enviably employed James McKerricher of West Coast Expeditions) and a live instagram feed.
Speaking of Instagram, stay tuned next week for the next installment of our photo contest! There will be prizes!
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy
