DON'T DIE UNTIL YOU'RE DEAD . . .
This may seem like an obvious piece of advice, but we think it warrants noting, nonetheless. Often you'll hear us touting the benefits of balance - which we really do believe in. Our culture is borderline obsessive about more just for the sake of more.
But the pendulum swings in both directions. On the flip side of not knowing and respecting the definition of 'enough' is stagnation and complacency. This week we've come across many folks who are boldly taking some sort of plunge - whether it's moving away for a new job (Sarah, we'll miss you!) or heading to vet school (Dayna, ditto) or executing / prepping for a cross country move (that's you, Matt and Milli + Dana and Luke), or in need of a life change (Jeni, you're doing it). Or getting married. Or starting businesses. In all of these instances, we see folks who lead truly fulfilling lives, who are taking a step toward something new and challenging. It can be intimidating and exhausting. But it's all in the name of trying.
This week, at Suarez Family Brewery, we distributed our first batch of beer and opened our tasting room to the public. It was intense and tiring and almost knocked us out. But we won't die until we're dead. And even though there are challenges along the way, we're finding the balance - slowly but surely.
Stay tuned for continued coverage next week.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy
