Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.
ON THE WEB
Our job search engine is a work in progress. Check out these and other web developments on goodfoodjobs.com :
WARNING: Server migration
In an effort to keep the site running as quickly and smoothly as possible, we have initiated a move to a more powerful server. The migration should have been finished on Monday night, but if you happen to experience any lingering glitches, let us know! It is our intention to keep improving, and we are sorry for any temporary frustrations.
Do you have a recommendation? Constructive criticism? Or have you noticed a glitch? Let us know. And stay tuned for more updates. We're always scheming.

NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
We ended up getting the most responses - and one of our two interns - through the job we posted on your site.

Migration is something that we both love and loathe. We appreciate that it signifies evolution, but we also know that sometimes it is hard to make a change that requires effort and guarantees inconvenience.
We hope that you will be equally excited and patient during our own migration - server migration, that is.
As you know, we have a lot of exciting web developments in the works at Good Food Jobs (forthcoming mobile site, homepage redesign, improved search engine - to name a few), and on Sunday we migrated over to a new / improved server.
This process - while meant to improve our performance - can have some temporary hiccups. You may have trouble accessing your Account page or completing the Post a Job process (this means that your computer is still pointing to our old server, but it will catch up soon, we promise!). You may be wondering why you haven't seen any new jobs on the site since Sunday (we cannot make any changes in our admin, including approving new jobs, until the migration is complete). We feel your pain.
In the words of the NYC Metro Transportation Authority, 'If you see something, say something'. We are eager to identify and fix any small glitches that are a result of the migration, and appreciate your help in the process.
With gratitude,
Taylor & Dorothy

Clay Williams
Photographer
We met Clay in the same way that he probably meets many of his future clients: he walked up and introduced himself with a friendly smile. It was already hard not to notice the tall guy with the taller hair carrying a giant camera as if it were weightless. But if he hadn't been so good at making introductions, we might not have made the connection. Which is exactly why we believe his advice about how to make it as a freelancer.
