THERE IS EXCESS ... So many ways to get involved. In fact, the abundance can be paralyzing. September comes back with full force, and it seems like every weekend (and weekday for that matter) is chock full of options.
But taking advice from last week's words of wisdom we're choosing one place to get started and launching from there.
This month we're heading to the People's Climate March in New York City (details below). While we're usually in favor of small events, this one is calling to us in a big way. There are various groups coming together to support climate change, and we're tagging along with the Food Justice contingent. If you are inclined to join, let us know. We'd love to see some familiar faces (or faces associated with email addresses, at least) in the crowd.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21st
11:30 AM
Columbus Circle, NYC
We hope to see you there.
Your companions in climate change,
Taylor & Dorothy
Co-Founders, Good Food Jobs

details / The #gogastrognomes journey is our biggest and best instagram contest yet. For the past four years, the gastrognomes have been profiling inspiring and unlikely food professionals on our blog. Although the blog has been an integral part of connecting the Good Food Jobs community, the gnomes are always struggling with the question of how to connect to more people, both in person all around the world. As we all know, it’s easy to get stuck behind a computer screen... So the gnomes have decided its time to head out on the open road to meet the people that have contributed to the blog, and hopefully see some new, inspiring people and places. And they need your help to get there. Click here to learn more.
Last week the gnomes made it to Oregon, Ecuador, and upstate New York. Keep your eyes peeled - or be a part of - where they wind up next!
And if you're looking for inspiration, check out our recently uploaded gnome Bucket List. They are looking for food adventures all over this great nation.
prize / A first, second and third prize will be given out based on creativity, effort, artistry and crowd response. To learn more, visit goodfoodjobs.com/gnomes.
deadline / TBD. The contest will be ongoing through the Fall, so keep your eyes peeled for gnomes and join the fun!
