Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

While we're the first ones to honor and appreciate curling up with a good book, we also understand why the saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words' is so spot on. Food is a sensory experience. And although working in food allows us to apply our intellect and efforts to our passion, we are all here because we also - very simply put - love to eat and share good food.
Which is what sparked the first of what we hope to be a regularly occurring GFJ INSTAGRAM CHALLENGE:
Good Food Jobs is about more than just jobs – we advocate a return to real food culture, at work and beyond. We always want to know about what you're cooking this Memorial Day Weekend (and any other holiday, for that matter) and this time around we want to SEE it, too. We’re challenging you to an Instagram photo challenge, and the winner with the most likes on Instagram will receive not one, but two, awesome prizes (see below). You don't have to be a professional chef or photographer, just someone who appreciates good food, and makes it a part of their everyday life. This is your chance to share with us how you are bringing the culture of good food back to the table, one snapshot at a time.
HOW TO ENTER
Upload your Instagram photo (you can share as many as you like) with @goodfoodjobs and the hashtag #WhatsCookingGFJ by 8am on Tuesday, May 28th. The submission with the most likes will be published in our newsletter that day and on our home page at goodfoodjobs.com, and will receive one soon-to-be-dog-eared copy of Michael Pollan's new book, COOKED, and a four-pack of Sir Kensington's Gourmet Scooping Ketchup and newly launched Mayonnaise (perfect for the rest of your summer grilling adventures). What are you waiting for?
PS Speaking of hashtags...has anyone noticed more activity on our @goodfoodjobs twitter page? It's the handiwork of our own Twitter-talented GFJ gastrognome, Mary (Hi, Mary!). Stay tuned to the latest and greatest job posts by searching #GFJfeed.
Share good food,
Taylor & Dorothy

If there's one thing that the invention of YouTube gave us, it was solid proof that there is an endless amount of love out there for cute cats (and videos of them doing cute things). Whether you are a pet owner or not, you can appreciate the motivation behind Shabnam's work at From Scratch: the desire to improve the quality of what we, and those we love, are eating. Read More
