EDUCATION = CURIOSITY + ACTION. . .
We're always on the lookout for new knowledge and experience. And even the best of us need some inspiration along the way. We can't help but marvel at the opportunities that come across our desk on a regular basis - be it formal educational programs, individual events, scholarships, or random adventures.
Here are a few such opportunities that we learned of this week:
CAREER HUNGRY COACHING SCHOLARSHIP
We always say that knowing you want to be a gastronome is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, there is so much good work to be done. On the other, there is no set path. Nobody knows this better than Emily. She's now channeling her decade+ of experience navigating the professional food world to help coach others on their path. If you are curious about her services, consider this full scholarship she's giving out for nine full coaching sessions.
Whether you are just graduating or eager to plot your ultimate move to working in food for good, it's worth it to take a shot and apply. You never know what adventures await.
UVM FOOD SYSTEMS SUMMIT 2016
You may know for certain that you love good food, but have you ever found yourself asking the question, 'What makes food good?' Join a host of others - including this week's gastrognome, Nija Rivera - interested in finding answers to this query in Burlington, Vermont this June 14-15. The deadline to register is June 6.
THE BAR INSTITUTE
Gone are the days when bartending classes were something you did to pass the time or prepare for summer employment. This intensive series of classes puts the 'pro' in 'profession', and highlights the care and attention folks have been putting into all kinds of food culture over the past decade - including behind the bar.
Luckily they are taking the show on the road and bringing the Bar Institute to every region across the country - including sessions in Austin, TX // Miami, FL // Portland, OR // New York City, NY. Use the links to get a 25% discount on your registration.
WAYFINDER WEEKEND
The Wayfinding Academy in Portland, Oregon is kicking off its first cohort later this fall by packing its 2-year program into 2 transformative days. If you seek to live your life on purpose, start by securing your tickets for this July 29-31 in Portland.
Here's to exploring someplace new.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

As we mentioned last week we have updated our Post a Job form and the accompanying search tools and filters to include Salary ranges / compensation values and the ability to tag jobs that are available to sponsor an international employee.
Change can be hard. If you have any comments or feedback, please chime in - especially if you see any (unintentional) glitches. We are so appreciative.
We're currently working on our homepage redesign. If you have any requests, suggestions, or constructive criticism, please don't hesitate to let us know.
our job search engine is a work in progress. do you have a recommendation? constructive criticism? or have you noticed a glitch? let us know. we're improving every day.
