WE'RE RIGHT ALONGSIDE YOU . . .
trying to figure out the best way forward in this wild world. And it seems like the most important thing we can do is continue to alternate between restorative rest and influential action.
This August, we'll continue our version of that with our traditional newsletter hiatus. We'll be making some essential space for quality time with loved ones, immersing ourselves in nature, and resting our brains to refresh and renew (don't worry, the website will still operate as usual during this time).
But before we depart we want to highlight a couple of opportunities to keep your creative juices flowing: the folks at Hot Bread Kitchen have launched a Quality Jobs Initiative - this year focused on RESTAURANTS.
They are still looking for a few restaurant partners to join their 2023 cohort. This FREE program is open to NYC-based restaurants who want to run their businesses better - helping train them to make smart operational choices, effective investments in people, and execute solid HR practices.
If you are a restaurant interested in participating - or know of one that might be a good fit - reach out.
And coming up in September, the inimitable Toi Marie is offering Business Beyond Profit, a mastermind for people whose work is countercultural, liberatory, and revolutionary in nature. Will you be in one of the nine seats at her table?
When we think about the state of this world we know that lasting change is not about big, sweeping movements as much as endless small and subtle shifts that change the tide. We are grateful for every opportunity to keep up this good work, one step at a time - and appreciate being in the very good company of all of you who make impactful change through your everyday work in food.
Until September,
Tay + Dor
