GRATITUDE . . .
Last week, we asked you for stories of courage, and we were taken aback by the responses. We heard from dozens of newsletter readers who shared powerful stories - from having the courage to decide to get a divorce (because they finally decided they were worth it), to watching their 4-year-old stand up to a kid being unkind (and even offer a hug to acknowledge the pain behind the behavior), to second hand stories of strangers who stood up for people one the street (either checking in on folks in need, or offering assistance with overtly sexist / harassing acts) - and so many more.
More than anything, the exercise showed us that: 1) People are more observant than you might think - and that often the acts of others brought so much positive energy to many other lives, and 2) people are really grateful.
Speaking of gratitude, Happy Halloween.
