Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
Thanks so much for the interesting newsletters over the years that have kept me faithfully opening the email each week.
- Garland, GFJ Fan
I am writing as the Mom of a twenty-something daughter who has used your wonderful site over the past year or so to be inspired to become a real farmer. I want you to know that reading your blogs, scrolling through all of the jobs, and clicking links to other opportunities has been so valuable as I calmly, and carefully (not like a helicopter parent, but as a friend and supporter) forwarded to her some local jobs and thoughts about farming from your site. She is on her way to being a real farmer….and I couldn’t be more proud of her AND grateful to you!

While it's hard to re-start after the events that prompted last week's newsletter, we are grateful to have GFJ as such a source of inspiration and soul satisfying work. We appreciate the kind words that so many of you wrote. You have no idea how soothing they were, and we're forever grateful and fortunate to be a part of such a warm, thoughtful, and engaging community.
This week, we are eager to move forward, honoring the spirit of those that have come before us.
SEARCH CONFUSION
Raise your hand if you want the old search back. Yeah, you are not alone. We've heard from dozens of folks that feel the same way.
After much frustration, confusion, and investigation, we've discovered that there is an element of our refine search design that is causing major hiccups for many users. Several folks have written in to say that they are getting a small number of search results after selecting the 'Anywhere' button under the Location section. We realized we need to clarify that 'Anywhere' actually means 'jobs that do not require you to live in any specific geographic location.' But because of its vague meaning, and its placement under the Location heading, many people understood it to mean jobs that were listed in 'any' location.
This week we are making some changes, and the 'Anywhere' button will be renamed to 'Work Remotely'. We are also going to add a button called 'Everywhere' that will be the default when someone searches for jobs without specifying a location.
We'd also like to explain that you do not have to search a given geographic location in the search bar. It is an optional search, meant to provide variety, not hem you in. So if you leave that keyword box empty, you'll see jobs listed in all locations.
We hope that this clears up some of the confusion, and we are so sorry that the design was unclear. Thank you, as always, to those that reached out to ask for help. The site gets better with every morsel of feedback we receive.
As always, if we missed anything, or if you have anything to add, let us know.
GFJ Instagram Challenge
The suspense must be keeping you on the edge of your seat! The results are in for our latest Instagram challenge, and the recipient of two of our favorite reads is @kayabella. We're happy to see you made use of the snow day, and look forward to seeing the great work that you do with all of that knowledge surrounding food politics. Thanks for all of those that participated with the #GFJreadinglist hashtag. You've inspired us to add a bunch of titles to our own reading lists. Good thing there's another snow storm coming up!
Stay warm, and move forward - little by little,
Taylor & Dorothy

Education is the gateway to food for so many of us, and Lauren is no exception. Lauren describes the alienation that so many of us feel when we attempt to make a difference in our own diets, by ourselves, and we couldn't agree more that every individual needs a 'tribe' to support them, and the food movement as a whole.
