EMBRACE IT . . .
the winter brings cold and dark. While 'the holidays' heat up, we're taking nature's cues as a way to keep slowing down. We look forward to the winter solstice - and relish in the darkness that it brings.
We take time to read, walk in the woods, and methodically prepare warming and nourishing food to share with family and friends.
We take the snowy days as a sign to stay home, or opt for the glow of the fire rather than the screen.
We'll be taking a break from the newsletter these next two Tuesdays while we host folks we love, and reflect on 2019, and rest up in anticipation of the start of the new year. Before we retreat into the shadows, we hope you'll enjoy a special blog post this week, featuring videos by Cam Buker that tell the story of Ricky Barrero and Kitchens for Good. Barrero's story reminds us that darkness sometimes disguises many things, including hope.
We wish everyone solitude at the start of this season.
