LET'S CROSS THE FINISH LINE TOGETHER ...
Admittedly, we are weary.
New York state, where we both live, just implemented a new mask mandate for all indoor public places that do not require proof of vaccination. We're grateful for this news as cases surge anew - and also exhausted. It has been a long haul for so many of us, and it continues to be particularly taxing for people in service, including, but not limited to food and beverage, retail, healthcare, and / or parenting / caregiving.
We feel the overwhelming wish for an end to uncertainty, yet we continue to feel like the only way to move forward is through, not back - forging a new path, however unclear, uncomfortable, and / or inconvenient that might be.
We've realized that what energizes us the most during this season is not the excess or the expectations, but pure and simple giving.
Consider joining us this week as we offer a $5000 DONATION MATCH to Kite's Nest, a local (to us) organization that builds the collective capacity of young people to bring about healing, personal transformation, social connection, and systemic change. When the weight of the world bears down upon us, the youth leaders at Kite's Nest give us inspiration and help us translate our despair into action.
When you help us reach a total of $5k, the impact compounds: we will match it to help Kite's Nest get that much closer to their goal of raising $50,000 by December 31st, which will then unlock a $50,000 match from another generous donor.

HOW IT WORKS
- Donate directly on the Kite's Nest website.
- Send a screenshot of your donation receipt to info@goodfoodjobs.com with GIVING in the subject line by NOON on Friday December 17th EST.
- We'll tally up the total and match the donations, up to a total of $5000.
- When you share on instagram, tag @kitesnest to amplify your donation.
WHY JOIN US?
- Kite's Nest empowers youth to help build and shape the kind of world we all want to live in.
- If 250 people donate $20, we will reach our goal. You can double your impact by donating today.
- Because there may be people on your gift list that don't need anything material, consider donating in their name.
- We'll pick 10 winners at random and buy / send them a copy of the Not Our Farm worker 'zine, a guide to working on farms, "made by workers for workers".

We will be closing our digital doors for the weeks of December 20th and 27th. That means no social media posts, no newsletter, but yes - always and forever - still plenty of jobs. We'll meet you back here on January 3rd, 2022. Until then, take care of yourself and your community, listen to your inner voice, and practice moving slowly.
Yours in food justice,
Tay + Dor
