WE'RE BACK IN IT . . .
the vortex that is 'the holiday season'. As much as one might wish to hibernate (we've tried!) you can't help but be inundated with the trappings of the cascade that begins with Thanksgiving and ends with the New Year.
But there are always options. The challenge is to choose the parts that hold meaning for you - whether that is DIY gift giving, sending out holiday cards, filling a tree with sentimental ornaments, a strong cookie-making tradition, decking the halls, or just spending some time (over good food) with people that you love. The point is: there is no one way to celebrate, and you don't have to do it ALL to do it right, for you. So pick and choose, and be sure to enjoy the things you do as much as you enjoy the freedom of opting out.

tidbits...
what we’re reading / listening to / watching / noticing / thinking about / captivated by this Tuesday…
A kindred spirit in regard to gift giving (or lack thereof).
This year we're starting a new tiramisu Christmas day dessert tradition (I love that I can assemble it two days in advance and it will be PERFECT on the holiday). This is one of our favorite recipes, as well as another incredible resource on the art of making zabaglione (a key element to the perfect tiramisu).
We're not just enamored with good food jobs. Meet the man behind nearly every ski mountain map you've ever seen.
If you needed a reminder of how awesome the food descriptions are in the Little House book series, the Paris Review has one for you.
got a tidbit? drop it here for us, and you just might see it in next week's newsletter.
