OLDER AND . . .
Today is Dorothy's birthday! For those of you that don't know the cadence of how this weekly newsletter works, I (Taylor) typically draft out the initial correspondence, and then Dorothy edits it (making it infinitely better than the original version. Always.)
The result is often a merging of the minds - words that may come distinctly from one or the other have a unified voice. From the outside, it's not always easy to determine who contributed what.
But today, I (Taylor) wanted to take the opportunity to raise a virtual glass and share some digital birthday cake with Dorothy. She's no doubt way more than half of the heart and soul and toil of Good Food Jobs. If I bring the enthusiasm, she brings the artistry. And it's a pleasure to have known her long enough to celebrate a very sweet 16 trips around the sun.
In re-listening to Tuesdays with Morrie a few weeks ago, this wisdom stuck with me: "Why would I want to be younger than I am today? I have already been where you have been, plus I have the experience of the years after as well." It's a wonder to honor and relish in that. Here's to being older and wiser and richer in the most important ways.
In celebration,
Tay + Dor

tidbits...
what we’re reading / listening to / watching / noticing / thinking about / captivated by this Tuesday…
This is so not the season for this, but birthdays have us thinking about cake, and craving this one.
The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living from a small piece of land. - Abraham Lincoln
This is less a letter of recommendation and more a love letter to washing dishes. NY Times
got a tidbit? drop it here for us, and you just might see it in next week's newsletter.
