NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
As other job sites are to deep sea trawling, Good Food Jobs is to line caught.

Seems like GFJ is starting to be the place to go. I have never had much response to ads on other sites but GFJ scored me some great resumes for our Forager position.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE COME TOGETHER
We're itching to hear how the 20 different GFJ meetups went, but we can't help but brag about what a magical day we had in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. Despite TWO faulty ice cream makers, we managed to hand churn our Wild Mint Ice Cream, and complete our homemade ice cream sandwiches.
But beyond sweet treats, the true pleasures of the day came from meeting new folks, all committed to changing the world through good food and community. A special thanks to the folks from The Center for Whole Communities who made the trek from the Mad River Valley to be at our GFJ DAY meetup. We had about 16 folks on our front lawn: eating, meeting, talking, learning, and enjoying the sunshine as much as we enjoyed each others' company.
Photographs and audio clips to follow in the coming weeks.
But what about you? How was your GFJ DAY? Who showed up? What did you discuss? What did you learn?
We look forward to hearing about your adventures!
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

THE GASTRO.GNOMES BLOG
Daniel Prieto Preston
CEO
Cacao Prieto
It's easy to get distracted when you start with the word 'chocolate', but Daniel's story snaps us back to attention rather quickly. He's what we might call an 'extreme career changer' (if we were writing a reality show), and we were surprised to discover that even an aerospace engineer can apply his existing job skills to making chocolate. Of course, it's so much more than that, as you'll see when you read his interview, visit the Cacao Prieto website, or taste one of their amazing confections (are we getting distracted again?) Do you have a question about chocolate that you've always wanted to ask an expert? Leave it in the comments section and see if Daniel can answer it for you!
