NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
Good Food Jobs is always the first place I start my daily search.
- Gianna, Job Seeker
I've been struggling to figure out exactly how to leverage the skills I've gained so far, but apply it to the subjects I care about most - food, local food, healthy food... Then I stumbled across your website and felt like I had struck gold - if this exists, there must be more people out there who are trying to figure out the right food path!
- Lauren, Job Seeker
I want to thank you for always answering my emails. I love the site and do believe that it will bring me good luck.
- Patricia, Job Seeker
We like you, too.

GET READY
It's finally here! The Good Food Jobs Fair is taking place this Friday February 24th from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.
We look forward to seeing some of you there. We're equally elated and sad to state that the event has SOLD OUT. We love that there's so much interest, but we regret that we couldn't book a location with a higher capacity. It appears that there are many of you out there who missed out on tickets. Fear not, as we hope this will be the first of many job fairs that we host.
For those who will be able to make it, remember to:
-
Introduce yourself. We'll be manning the Good Food Jobs booth near the entrance where you can't miss us. If we're in conversation when you arrive, there will be lots of other job seekers and good food companies to talk with while you wait.
-
Be prepared. We're not the 'have your resume handy at all times' type and we don't necessarily think you need a traditional business card, but it is important that you have something with your name and contact information on it. Get creative. It'll be easier for others to follow up with you, and saves you precious seconds re-writing it over and over again at the fair.
-
Bring a pen. Yes, you may want to take notes, trade info, or give yourself written reminders. Whether you work best with pen and paper or tapping on your iPhone, just make sure you have the tools that you need at the ready.
-
Follow up. You'll only have 90 minutes, so make it last. It's kind of like the human version of the final segment of Supermarket Sweep (come on, you used to love that show, too, right?). The point is, make the most of the limited time by meeting folks face-to-face, making a memorable impression, moving on to free them up to meet others, and (most importantly) following up afterward.
We can't wait to see you Friday!

THE GASTRO.GNOMES BLOG
Chris Durso / Creator & Main Contributor / Foodiggity.com
There are a lot of negative issues that can come up around the topics of food and the environment, but we do our best to maintain an optimistic outlook, especially in the context of paving your career path. A sense of humor is a key factor in maintaining that optimism, and we are big fans of the way that Chris has put his good humor to work. If you haven't already been perusing Foodiggity with a smile on your face, go there when you feel that food (and life) is taking itself a little too seriously. Read More
