Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.
the gastrognomes is a blog for food lovers who want to put their passions to work. We profile the most interesting, engaging, and unlikely food professionals that we find, and we publish them here to inspire you.
NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
"I'm so happy there are more networking resources becoming available for people pursuing our line of work. I'll be passing your website onto like-minded job-seeking individuals."
- Ashleee, Job Seeker
"I love Good Food Jobs. It makes me so happy that I want to share it with the whole world. I have actually eavesdropped on strangers at coffee shops and interrupted to say 'Hey, if you like food, you'll love Good Food Jobs.'"
- Alli, Job Seeker
"No one else I know is interested in this like I am, so skimming over some of the people you guys have profiled reminded me that I'm not inventing this community of people who care about food as much as I do."
- Janae, Job Seeker
We couldn't do it without you.

Happy (almost) Spring,
It's that time of year when you can't help but make some positive changes: clean out your closet, plot your garden, or - in our case - re-evaluate the website.
We've been up and running for almost 6 months, and while we're tinkering with a few edits and additions, we thought we'd reach out to you for your opinion.
We are eternally grateful for all of the kind words and thoughful emails that you send with praise, but this time we want to know: what can we improve?
Tell us what you think is missing, what's there but hard to find, or which little error or typo has been bugging you for weeks, but you just didn't think it was
worth telling us about. No detail is too small. Let us know your thoughts at info@goodfoodjobs.com. Although we can't promise to implement them all, each and every one of your suggestions will be thoughtfully considered - and maybe added to our "Spring cleaning" agenda.

We've decided that the urban fairytale of food is one where a lowly waiter/busboy learns the skill of providing great service, and parlays that into a successful career with her very own food-related company. Dava is the princess in this particular story, and her advice is as real as it gets. Like chocolate and hazelnut, food and design is one of those magical combinations, and we're inspired by how Dava took her experience on the floor at restaurants and used it to create her very own design firm. Don't be surprised to discover that at least one of your favorite websites is her handiwork.
