Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is a nonprofit organic farmers’ cooperative of over 100 farmers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We focus on creating healthy, high-quality foods from our highly maintained and enriched soils on our small-scale family farms. LFFC serves all Eastern Pennsylvania, New York City, and most of the tri-state area by connecting the farmer and customer, delivering the best local organic produce, value-added products, and humanely raised and pastured animal products to retail establishments, co-ops, restaurants, and institutions.
Job description
Summary
Develop, execute and maintain all aspects of the strategic marketing plan to ensure consistent, engaging presentation of LFFC’s brand to both internal and external audiences.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and maintain a clearly articulated strategic marketing plan to support LFFC’s short-term and long-term business goals
- Consistently communicate company mission, values and other information to internal and external audiences.
- Advance visibility and outreach of LFFC within our community and the sustainable agricultural movement.
- Improve communications to support team members cohesiveness and a positive work environment.
- Manage internal and external resources to accomplish strategic marketing goals
- Create and develop department wide strategies to accomplish departmental goals
- Serve as public representative for LFFC at community and industry related events as applicable
- Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits, and trends
- Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, etc.)
- Motivate and support wholesale reps and sales consultants with their work by developing necessary marketing sales tools
- Proactively identify public relations opportunities and respond to incoming opportunities to ensure LFFC is represented as a thought leader through media outlets
- Oversee promotional materials programs to include stickers, apparel, grocery totes and other branded items.
Requirements
- BS/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
- Five years of experience in communications, marketing, or advertising, with proven accomplishments
- Appreciation for and working knowledge of the principles of sustainable agriculture and the value of organic produce
- Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
- Excellent communication and people skills with a strong degree of integrity and responsiveness
- Self-motivated and innovative
- Detail oriented, highly organized
- Leadership skills; the ability to manage team members and outside resources
- Ability to build consensus in multi-stake holder group
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Adaptable; able to think on your feet. When faced with new challenges, or tough conversations, failure simply isn't an option.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Occasional overnight travel
Skills/Abilities
- Skilled in marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media, etc.) and market research methods
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.), with a strong sense of design and understanding of the process
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired
Compensation
this position is: salaried, 50k to 100k
