Overview: Farm Connex (a local produce distribution company with headquarters based out of Newport, VT) is currently seeking to hire a reliable and detail oriented individual to make daily deliveries to area retailers and institutions across VT and bordering areas of NH and MA. Duties to include (but not limited to): picking orders, loading trucks, making deliveries, coordinating product pickups, and reliable communication with both clients and management staff, as necessary.

 

Required skills:

• Candidate must be available for early morning shifts
• Ability to lift >50 lbs
• Clean VT Driver’s License
• Ability to operate non-CDL vehicles & equipment (pallet jack, liftgate, dollies, etc.)
• Superior spatial/organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with Farm Connex team members, producers and retailers, as necessary

 

Preferred skills:

• Familiarity with VT/NH routes
• Knowledge of basic food safety and handling guidelines
• Experience in receiving, customer service, warehouse management and/or distribution
• Interest in local and sustainable food systems a plus

 

Salary: commensurate with experience.
