Internship description
The Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership (HICSL) Garden Apprentice will work closely with the Garden Manager to oversee the operational management, planning, and maintenance of all vegetable, perennial, and demonstration gardens, compost systems, and assist in the integration of island-grown food into HICSL’s kitchen. The Garden Apprentice is expected to participate in the day-to-day operations of the island and help HICSL maintain our collaborative and intentional community.
The Garden Apprentice will receive free room and board while on Hurricane Island in addition to a stipend, paid bi-weekly.This is a paid, contracted, seasonal position without benefits.
