Job Description Horrocks Market is looking for energetic, creative professionals with a passion for beer and wine to join our Beer + Wine team.  Specialists will be responsible for running our brand new, in-house 30 tap tavern as well as provide beer/wine samples to our customers.  Specialists will also be responsible for customer education and selling beer, wine, mead and cider.  We are very excited about our tavern, which will be located right inside of the market and we’re looking for people with experience either in beer/wine sales or bartending.  Passion for high quality customer service is a must. 

Duties

• Pour beer/wine samples, glasses for in-house consumption and growlers for to-go sales.
• Sell beer and wine with professionalism and integrity.  
• Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.  Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delicious beer and wine selections.  
• Follow and comply with all applicable alcohol handling and service regulations, health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices. 
• Demonstrate knowledge, skills and work ethic.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in beer/wine sales.
• Passion for and knowledge of wine and/or craft beer.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of a position that involves lifting and stacking of boxes (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store which includes nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, with high attention to detail, quality and presentation.
• Must be 18+
