ABOUT

Ojai Olive Oil, Inc. is a family owned and operated business that came into existence 10 years ago. Our farm is located in Southern California’s Ojai Valley that lies straight north of the coastal town of Ventura - 80 miles north of Los Angeles and 35 miles south of Santa Barbara. The Asquith Farm is located on the southern edge of the Los Padres National Forest. We are surrounded by dramatic natural beauty and share our land with numerous forms of wildlife that roam the hills and mountains. Like a vigilant guardian of the Ojai Valley and its bounty, Chief Peak rises more than 5000 feet just to the north of our olive grove.

We are looking for people to manage booths at farmers markets in the LA area. Right now we have booths at the three farmer's markets listed below, but there will likely be several more added before the end of the year. We ultimately hope to have 10 active farmers markets in the greater LA area, and will also be opening up in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

1. Beverly Hills at 9300 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills Every Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Set up begins at 7am.

2. South Pasadena at the corner of El Centro St. & Meridian Ave. Every Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Set up begins at 2pm.

3. Santa Monica on Arizona and Second St. Every other Wednesday (should be every wednesday soon) from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Set up begins at 7am.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must become familiar with our company and products
  • Be able to speak in an educated manner about extra virgin olive oil and the Ojai Olive Oil Company

We need someone who we can entrust with a full famers market booth setup, including three folding tables and table cloths, a 10'x0' canopy, signage, etc. The Manager must be able to store and transport the setup to and from the farmers market, and handle assembly/takedown. All equipment can fit into a standard size SUV or full size sedan easily, and one person can easily set up and take down in about 15 minutes.

We will provide all materials and supplies required, and will deliver product to our Booth Managers as needed to keep them fully suplied. This position is as an Independent Contractor, working for the Ojai Olive Oil Company. There are also additonal opportunities for managing booth at one-off festivals or other events over the course of the year, and potentially for being a 'manager of the managers', helping operate all of our farmers market operations.
