About the Position
This is a full-time position based in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Your focus will be Reservation Operations Coordinator for several markets, working directly with the General Managers and Restaurant Operations Managers in those markets. Your responsibilities will include:
Reservation Operations
We’re looking for someone who can speak the restaurant lingo and understands what it means to work in a restaurant with reservation operations. You should love process, be detail oriented, and have excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and effective time management. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and have exceptional customer service skills. You should be capable of working well with a team and our restaurant partners to understand diner and restaurant reservation issues and develop appropriate responses/solutions. You will work directly with restaurant managers, reservationists, and hosts/hostesses in a fast paced environment, so previous experience as a concierge or in “Front of House” operations at an upscale, busy restaurant would be strongly preferred. You’re also excited to provide thoughtful, strategic insight regarding customer needs to our product, marketing and technology teams. Your work week will typically be Tuesday to Saturday, but may be subject to change based on reservation request demand. Other desired experience/skills include:

About the Position
This is a full-time position based in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Your focus will be Reservation Operations Coordinator for several markets, working directly with the General Managers and Restaurant Operations Managers in those markets. Your responsibilities will include:
Reservation Operations
- Manage all aspects of reservation operations from request to fulfillment and/or cancellation to ensure every diner has an excellent experience.
- Work closely with restaurants to ensure that diners’ requests, modifications, and cancellations are being seen and addressed in a timely manner.
- Build a deep knowledge and understanding of our restaurant partners inventory and availability to help inform strategic directional decisions for securing inventory and table management.
- Work closely with the General Managers and Restaurant Operations Managers to ensure successful matches between restaurants and diners.
- Monitor Zendesk for incoming tickets regarding reservation operations and work closely with Marketing/Community team to respond to all tickets until diner satisfaction is at its best.
- Work with Restaurant Operations Managers to provide and discuss diner and restaurant feedback.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve reservation operations.
- Collaborate with our Product Management team to define product offerings and enhancements for restaurants and diners.

- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Experience using customer service tools (Zendesk, etc.)
- Experience using table management software and familiarity with its capabilities (e.g. OpenTable)
- Proven ability to work across many departments to solve problems and achieve results
- Comfort working in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment
- College degree preferred
- Preference given to candidates with experience in hospitality with a deep empathy and understanding for the restaurant industry
