Job Description Production Supervisor 

Verdant Kitchen is a fast growing, premium Farm to Table company. Our healthful, beneficial and delicious products feature ginger and other sub tropical spices. We source our ingredients from our own USDA Organic farm in Savannah GA and other premium growers worldwide. Our production team convert them into a range of craft sodas, teas, candies, syrups, preserves and baked goods in our dedicated and shared USDA Organic facility in Atlanta GA. Our sales and marketing team and distributor partners, supply these great products to loyal customers via local farm markets and gift and gourmet stores, internet and major chains nation wide. We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our small and growing production team. Responsibilities 

• Production including blending, filling and packaging
• Baking, Bottling and Labeling
• Cleaning and sanitation
• Stock rotation, storage and palletized shipping
• Record keeping and quality control
• Supervision of hourly production staff
• Production planning and pre preparation
• Efficiency improvements
• Equipment maintenance
• Team meeting and communications

 Qualifications and Experience 

• 3-5 years food production
• SERVE SAFE certification or equivalent
• USDA Organic production facility experience preferred
• A roll model for neat, fast, well planned and efficient food production
• Comfortable with spreadsheets and web based communication
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Target driven problem solver
• This is a physical job. Candidate must be able to lift 50lb and do production work for 8-10 hours at a time on their feet.
• Current drivers license and own transportation
