The Frog Hollow Farm Café is an extension of Frog Hollow Farm in Brentwood California. The café manager will be responsible for bringing the farm experience to urban customers. You will lead the Farm to Table team and work closely with the culinary staff, the farmers, and the administrative office to bring sustainable success to the business.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to staff to insure highest quality and drive profitability of overall retail business.
- Work as a team member with both farm and Café staff to carry out vision for Frog Hollow Farm Café.
- Provide accurate reports, including daily sales, waste, and staff schedules to Frog Hollow Farm administrative staff.
- Visual merchandising and point of sale signage for fresh and shelf stable products, menu items, etc.
- Develop daily sales goals and employee incentives for reaching goals.
- Work with staff to increase sales, monitor expenses and train staff.
- Educate café staff and customers about Frog Hollow Farm products, values and history. Act as an ambassador of Frog Hollow Farm by upholding FHF values.
- Work with Frog Hollow Farm culinary staff and food consultants to execute and promote seasonal farm to table menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of both kitchen and sales area and ensure the appearance of the shop reflects and supports the Frog Hollow Farm image at all times.
- Manage shift leader(s) and provide coaching to these individuals when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with FHF marketing staff to develop strategies and plans to cross market all FHF products through all channels including mail order, CSA and farmers markets.
- Maintain good relationships with purveyors and order necessary supplies and goods for café on a weekly basis.
- Always behave in a way that is conducive to a high level of Frog Hollow Farm customer care and satisfaction and strong team work within the shop.
- Highly motivated, outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Proven leadership ability and track record.
- Experience working in a farm to table operation or strong interest in working with farm to table process.
- Previous food service/culinary experience. Previous line management skills desireable.
- Previous customer care experience desireable.
- Previous retail management experience including staffing, employee training, inventory, display, in-store promotions, etc.
- HACCP standard Food Safety qualification essential.
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel.
- An interest in farming and sustainability is desirable.
