Job Description The Momofuku Group is comprised of restaurants and bakeries located in the US, Australia, and Canada, a culinary lab, a magazine, and an equipment manufacturing company. 

We are looking for a HR Director who will be responsible for providing leadership and executing Human Resources strategy in support of the overall business. The role will oversee the succession planning, talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, employee relations, compensation, payroll, and benefits.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the vision of the company
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business objectives
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the president and owner regarding key organizational and management issues
  • Work with the top-level management to establish a plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans
  • Manage comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR department by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits
To be successful in this position, the candidate must be able to perform at a high level with little guidance. The individual must be a self-starter, an out-of-the box thinker, and capable of keeping up with a fast paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS/BA degree; MBA/MA/PHR or SPHR preferred
  • At least six (6) years’ experience in the field of Human Resources, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Have a demonstrated background in talent management and leadership management, as well as a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent
  • Flexibility to travel as appropriate to implement strategic HR initiatives across the company’s various locations
  • Must have the ability to bring immediate credibility to the Human Resources department through professional qualifications and leadership skills
  • Strong ability to motivate teams and interpret a variety of instructions
  • Superior interpersonal communication and proven organizational skills
