Job Description About the Graduate Program in Agricultural & Food Law:

The Graduate Program in Agricultural & Food Law is the first and only advanced legal degree program in the U.S. in agricultural and food law. Our specialized curriculum covers the law that applies to all levels of our food system, from the farm to the consumer's plate. Our students come from 35 different states and 18 different countries. We offer a collegial working environment doing work that matters - teaching people more about our most fundamental need - the food we eat.  

Position Description:

This is a new position created at the law school to assist with the distance education technology in the Graduate Program in Agricultural & Food Law. This nationally recognized program launches a distance track this fall that will allow some students to attend class remotely, via live video conference. We have a completely remodeled classroom with state of the art technology. The job will involve working with the new video-conferencing equipment and software, assisting those who conference into the classroom, managing the video recording and editing of our classes, and supporting other aspects of the law school's video conferencing and technology needs. The ideal candidate would be someone interested in learning more about our food system who would enjoy working with our team of professionals. 

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and planning audiovisual activities and programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.  

Skills:
  • Knowledge of the instructional uses of audiovisual aids and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the operation, adjustment, and maintenance of audiovisual/electrical equipment and material.
  • Knowledge of the methods of photography and film development.
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, train, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates.
  • Ability to develop policies, procedures, and plans based on anticipated needs.
  • Ability to estimate and prepare budget for future needs.  
Minimum Qualifications:
  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Plus two years of specialized training in the field of audiovisual, electronic, electrical, or the use of photographic equipment
  • Plus one year of experience in the selected field. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Two years experience working with digital video conferencing equipment, or in an audio-visual, radio, or television operation or production area or a related field.
  • Experience using html or web content management systems.
