Social Media and Events Assistant NAT Media

We are looking for an intern to mainly support a multi-month nonprofit contract focused on promoting food + drinks in a Brooklyn neighborhood, through multimedia and a series of events. An ideal intern should have some experience working with diverse stakeholders, understand the evolving restaurant scene in Central Brooklyn and have superb social media skills.
Requirements:
- Proven track record with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare
- Experience working independently
- Mastered the art of a handwritten note
- Highly organized
- Ability to be flexible and available for weekly team meetings
- Photography, video and/or audio recording skills a plus, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the creation of creative content for e-newsletters
- Updating and maintaining a database of stakeholders and media contacts
- Providing input on overall marketing materials for the print and online campaign
- Updating and scheduling updates on social media accounts
- Attending and working the campaign’s food + drink events
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with our team, client and stakeholders
- Supporting the team on other projects related to podcasts, zine, video promotion
