Job Description About the Company: Club Congress opened its doors in 1985 in the historic Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. The bar features something for everyone, including a rotating cocktail list, craft beer selection, and wine program. Cocktails are hand-crafted with the best spirits possible, with a focus on fresh and house-made ingredients.

About the Position: Club Congress is seeking a Bar Manager / Mixologist. This position is responsible for managing the Club Congress staff hiring, training, scheduling and corrective action. Furthermore, the Bar Manager is directly responsible for overnight operations of the Club and Hotel and has direct control over pour cost, labor cost and overall Club Congress expense. S/he is expected meet and/or exceed company budgetary expectations on pour cost percentage, revenue and net profit along with customer service and safety standards. S/he is also responsible for quality control on a nightly basis in the Cup, Hotel, and Club. 

The Bar Manager is responsible for what is served and how one is treated in the Club Congress. S/he is allowed artistic and managerial freedom within the vision and framework established by Hotel Congress LLC. S/he is expected to incorporate the mission and philosophy of the Hotel Congress LLC. in conduct and communication with guests and co-workers.

The Bar Manager is responsible for creating and supervising creation of the cocktail, beer & wine lists and overall program for Hotel Congress. The Bar Manager is also responsible for providing continuing education for bar staff and serving staff in the areas of liquor, beer, wine, cocktails & their history, and through conducting "bartending camp" training sessions

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year bar management experience
  • AZ Title 4 Liquor Law certification
  • Flexile schedule.
  • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends
  • Act as a representative of the Hotel Congress any time s/he is in the building or off property when representing the business.
