  • Job Type Full-Time
Job Description SHED is a market, cafe and events hub in Healdsburg California, a lively Sonoma County town where farming, food and wine mix and mingle. Our inspiration comes from Wendell Berry who said, "An agrarian mind begins with the love of the fields and ramifies in good farming, good cooking and good eating."

Designed to serve people interested in good food, quality provisions and a selection of kitchen and garden tools for sustainable living, the 9700 square foot SHED includes a kitchen, cafe, fermentation bar, coffee bar, larder and event space. Open daily, the cafe offers fresh food closely connected to the season and local farms.

SHED is a values-driven business: connection to community, stewardship of the land, creativity, curiosity and sustainability. Ideal candidates for the position of Retail Food Specialist must share SHED's core values.

Our Retail Food Specialist will work in our larder and pantry, staffing the edible side of retail. This is a place to stock up on whole foods, specialty foods, produce and core ingredients as well as a source for cheese, charcuterie and creations to take home from the SHED kitchen. The ideal candidate must have a passion for food and value quality ingredients, techniques and tools. They must also be able to uphold and maintain the highest standards of retail customer service. The position works closely with the rest of the team to create a retail food experience that is integrated with the other departments of SHED retail.
