Job Description We have several internship positions opening at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, in our organic market garden. White Violet Center for Eco-Justice is a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, and is located on the campus of the Sisters Motherhouse in St. Mary of the Woods, Indiana. Duties will include regular garden tasks and associated market garden work, such as seeding, transplanting, weeding, general garden care, working our city's Farmer's Market and conducting our Community Supported Agriculture program. Education in eco-justice issues, care for creation, and sustainable living are an important part of our internship, and all interns are expected to complete a core reading list and a culminating project. No prior experience with gardening or farm work is expected; a joy in working with Creation, and a willingness to learn are our most desired traits. Internship includes housing, one meal per day, access to all workshops hosted by WVC, and a stipend of $100 per month. Minimum duration for internship is 3 months; we have limited availability of extending internships up to one year, at the agreement of the intern and staff of WVC.
