JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Manager is to help the restaurant and butcher shop succeed in providing excellent service and producing high quality products. The job exists so that there is a network of leadership to help employees create a great experience for guests.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance of asthetic of shop
- Maintenance of machines and fixtures
- Beverage, grocery and retail ordering whenever needed •Private events coordinating and fulfilling special requests
- Opening duties, which include dialing in, cleaning, restocking, counting registers, setting up restaurant, helping butcher and kitchen
- Closing duties, which include the Daily Register Count, tipping out servers, making sure everything is tidy and clean at the end of the night, checking out servers, back waiters and bartenders.
- Guest services including dealing with upset guests.
- Cash register duties that involve problem solving when Revel goes down or there is an issue with money.
- Cash and credit card transactions including refunding money and dealing with any issue that may arise.
- Leading Employees and keeping up morale.
- Leading by example and teaching excellent hospitality.
- Constantly educating yourself on changing practices, food and hospitality.
- Any additional duties as defined by General Manager
The Assistant Manager candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience.
High school diploma/GED required, Bachelors Degree recommended.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should have:
- Extensive food and wine knowledge
- All different types of serving and hospitality

- Some computer and technological skills
- Basic restaurant machine maintenance
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently
- The ability to work unsupervised and able to supervise other people in a caring a respectful manner

- Creative Problem Solving Abilities
- POS knowledge
- Word, Excel knowledge a plus
- This positions requires an employee who can work 8 hours standing and walking a day, 5 days a week
- Lift approximately 25 pounds
- The main location for this position is at the Marin restaurant
