Saxelby Cheesemongers is New York’s first cheese shop devoted to locally sourced cheeses.

Saxelby’s sells a premier selection of regional farmstead cheese to retail customers in our Essex Market shop as well as a growing number of restaurants and shops throughout the city.

We pride ourselves on selecting cheeses from small producers who farm sustainably with respect for their land and animals. The range of cheeses available at Saxelby Cheesemongers changes throughout the year as we work with and celebrate the seasonal nature of cheese making.

We are looking for a Delivery Driver to become part of the Saxelby Cheesemongers team.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliveries to restaurants and retailers
• Pickups
• Transfers between our cheese cave in Brooklyn and the store in Manhattan
• Warehouse duties

Qualifications Required:

• Valid drivers license
• Clean driving record
• Cargo van delivery experience
• Available Monday to Friday from 8 to 4pm (hours will vary)
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Customer service oriented with an emphasis on punctuality
• Mapping skills and familiarity with the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Interest in local food production
