We're looking for a individual that has limited experience in a professional kitchen but would like to get a taste of a potential career in hospitality. And we do mean hospitality; this is fundamentally about making other people happy.
You are great working with other people and quick on your feet and of sharp mental agility. You can make decisions independently and are a good listener. You have an interest in not just the kitchen but sourcing as well - we work closely with local farmers and producers, and it's a critical component to what we do.
You'll start working every Sunday, 10am-5pm, handrolling and pressing tortillas atthe New Amsterdam Market with us at our stand. This is about working hard and having a lot of fun. We'll be at the market through December, so this is for folks who are resilent to temperature changes and love the outdoors.
You'll get first dibs on being part of a team working private events like our popup on August 29th. As time passes, your duties and hours can expand depending on your interests. Want to learn how to break down a pig? Scale recipes up for production? Visit the market with us for ingredients for specials? Ramp up on your knife skills? We'll teach you and provide guidance along the way.
We're a husband and wife that started with a simple idea: produce amazing tacos using terrific ingredients with excellent service. We're growing our business and we hope that you'll join our team early!
