Murray’s Cheese, New York City’s top destination for cheese and specialty food, is hiring a full-time administrative assistant to join the Buying team. We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company, ideally positioned as a springboard for talented professionals looking to break into the specialty food industry.
As we continue to grow, our logistical and administrative needs have multiplied as well. We are seeking an entry-level administrative assistant to help us handle some of the needs, with duties including but not limited to: basic bookkeeping, accounting processes, data entry, and administrative organization.
While this is an entry-level position and technically requires no advanced knowledge of our product, enthusiasm for specialty food and cheese is strongly preferred. Prior administrative experience is also a plus. For the right candidate, there will be ample opportunity for advancement within the company over the next 18 to 24 months.
The ideal candidate is:

PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access).

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Familiar with basic accounting processes (purchase orders, invoices, pricing, etc.)

Eager and capable to learn new tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics RMS)
The starting rate is $10-12/hour and a competitive benefits package is available after three months of full-time employment.
